This shoot makes me miss wearing my leather jacket. I usually wear it all year long, but this Texas Summer heat has been killer lately and I don't want to be gross and sweaty in that thing - that is not cute. Anyway, this balloon shoot (yes, another one - others here and here) was taken back in February with my favorite photographer Leandra Blei.
Looking back these photos makes me smile at how silly I felt walking up and down Congress with twenty balloons in hand. It may not show too much in the pictures but we would get these little gushes of wind every now and then and I would either get blown away with the balloons (not literally, but they would get away from me) or I would get caught in them (literally) and let's just say, that's never a graceful setting for me to be in . Nevertheless, the smile is pretty genuine. I had a lot of fun laughing at myself and hanging out with Leandra. Like I've said many times before, whether we're shooting or just catching up on life over a cold beer, it's always a great time with her.
Everything I am wearing in this outfit was purchased over four years ago - crazy huh? The high-low dress I bought Summer of 2012, and probably only wore it once before. My leather, I luckily stumbled upon in the Fall of 2012 and my Frye boots I bought six years ago, Spring of 2010. I don't know what's crazier, the fact that I'm still wearing items from so long ago and never thought to put them together before or the fact that I remember when I purchased everything :P
Part two coming later this week. Stay tuned! Until next time, xo ❥
